A clear explanation · Akron home services

Good work.
Fair price.

If our quote comes in lower than another, it is reasonable to ask why. We keep the business lean, buy materials carefully, and price the labor for the actual job. You'll get one written total for the work we propose before you decide.

For Akron-area homeowners, landlords, and property managers.

Where the savings come from

Built to work lean.
Built around the job.

Lower overhead and careful buying give us room to offer a fair price. They do not change the work your home needs.

01

Modest overhead

We do not build the cost of a big showroom, large truck fleet, or large office into every job.

02

Owner-led quoting

Gary helps scope the work directly. There is no commissioned sales team between you and the work plan.

03

Supplier relationships

Years of construction work and Luxy Homz manufactured-home projects helped us build commercial supplier accounts and relationships.

04

Materials without markup

We normally buy the materials ourselves. We compare current supplier prices and promotions and do not add a markup to materials purchased for your job.

05

Fair labor for the scope

We calculate labor for the work at your property. Handyman labor starts at $150 for the first 75 minutes of a standalone visit.

06

Smarter office work

AI helps us organize information, develop this site and marketing, and plan the business. Gary reviews the scope and price; people remain responsible for the work.

How we buy materials

The right grade.
The best current value.

We are not tied to one brand. We first review the specifications the job calls for, including fit, capacity, efficiency, warranty, and installation requirements. Then we compare suitable products and current supplier promotions.

For example, if a home's reviewed replacement calls for a 120,000 BTU furnace, we check qualifying options available when we prepare the quote. We explain the proposed equipment and included work before you approve the purchase. The lowest shelf price alone does not decide the installation.

What you receive

One total.
A clear scope.

We give you a written price for the complete work described. The proposal identifies the equipment or material grade and what the job includes. It also makes meaningful conditions or exclusions clear, including any separate work that needs your approval.

Starting prices apply to qualifying standard jobs. The actual equipment, access, connections, and any required licensed-partner or permit work can change the scope. You approve the job-specific price before work begins.

Comparing estimates?

Compare the work,
not just the total.

  • Equipment specifications and efficiency
  • Connections, venting, or other work included
  • Permits and qualified trade participation where needed
  • Removal, disposal, and warranty terms

Two quotes can differ substantially because their scopes differ. We will tell you what our price covers so you can make a fair comparison.

A note from Gary

I have spent years doing repair and construction work, and Luxy Homz gave me hands-on experience with manufactured homes and the supplier side of building. Uplift Akron is my way of putting that experience to work locally: solve the problem, buy carefully, charge fairly for labor, and make the number clear before the job begins.— Gary
